In April 2000, Enterprise
Webs a company that develops consumer-related web sites acquired the 100%
interest in CT. CT (CulturalTravels.com) possesses the world’s largest
database of specialty tour operators and features a 300-megabyte database
and web site of interactive tour operator listings with e-commerce
capability. With CT, Enterprise Webs also acquired the rights to The
Cultured Traveler Newsletter.
Santa
Rosa, CA-based Sheri Leigh, a graduate in Renaissance Studies from the
University of California at Berkeley, is a former travel agent and world
traveler who created the Cultural Travels concept in 1998. In 2000, Leigh
introduced Cultural Travels’ online newsletter, The Cultured Traveler,
as a monthly adjunct to Cultural Travels’ database of 1,600+ specialty tour
operators.
Leigh
is also Acting CEO of Enterprise Webs, a three-year-old Web commerce
development company that is now the parent company of Cultural Travels, as
well as of three other commercial web sites (Poor Alice online bookstore,
British European Motors of Santa Rosa, CA and Dr. Vikki Sutherland of Santa
Rosa, CA).

Sheri Leigh
Santa
Monica, CA-based Flo Heckenbach is the creator and editor of The Cultured
Traveler’s Calendar feature, which now has a database of more than 350
festivals worldwide. Heckenbach started the section in 2001 as a small
add-on to the newsletter’s archiving capabilities. Over several months, she
grew the section both in terms of scope and sophistication. The section now
provides the capability to search for festivals by theme, country or date.
Heckenbach, a seasoned traveler who has made many visits to Europe, North
Africa and the Mediterranean littoral, has extensive experience with
non-profit foundations as an organizer and fundraiser.

30 years as a retail agent, Blue Badge guide, lecturer and custom tour
operator. He is a director of Lynchpin Tours who offer personalized
all-Ireland tours to more discriminating travelers. As an erratic golfer
and fan of The Far Side, Lowell takes an often wry look at tourism matters
in his native country.

Scranton
is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, where she
majored in Japanese and Asian Studies. As a high school and college student,
Scranton had twice visited Japan for extended periods of time. After
college, she decided to live in Japan on a long-term basis and spent 10
years there, returning to the U.S. in 2001.
Fluent
in spoken and written Japanese, Scranton is Enterprise Web’s liaison to
Cultural Travels Japan, a start-up site aimed at that nation’s vast travel
market. Scranton coordinates marketing, contractual arrangements and the
exchange of content. She is based in Santa Rosa, CA.

Brackstone was born in Kenya, the daughter of a British corporate officer.
Educated in London, she has lived in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Boston
and, now, Bermuda. In Bermuda, Brackstone is a local real estate agent and
consultant to the Ministry of Tourism.
Her

activities in Bermuda and strange encounters among animals at an African
watering hole.
